Primary Healthcare Specialists (PHS) is NOT an insurance plan. Rather, PHS offers an affordable alternative health care program offering a network of doctors focusing on primary health care needs. 

Individuals and families pay a monthly fee for the comfort of knowing they can see a doctor when they need to, instead of incurring the costs of going to the emergency room. By participating in the plan, you can save time and money.

Primary Health Care Plans

"Offering Affordable Prices"
 

Single:

  • $59.00 per month.
  • Includes physician visits, in- office labs and x-ray.
  • Members 16 and older - Office visits limited to five (5) per membership month.

Spouse:

  • $35.00 per month (may not be purchased separately).
  • Includes physician visits, in- office labs and x-ray.
  • Members 16 and older - Office visits limited to five (5) per membership month.

Dependent Children:

  • $40.00 per child, per month (may not be purchased separately).
  • Includes physician visits.
  • Children under age 16 will use San Antonio Pediatric Associates.
  • Children older than 16 years old will use WellMed Medical Groups.
  • Members 15 and younger - Office visits limited to three (3) per membership month.

Program Features:

  • Physician visits with a $20.00 fee for each visit (in addition to the monthly fee).
  • No pre-existing condition exclusions.
  • No claim forms.
  • No deductibles to meet.
  • No Social Security Number required.
  • Members 16 and older - Office visits limited to five (5) per membership month.
  • Members 15 and younger - Office visits limited to three (3) per membership month.

Participants will have access to a large network of experienced, highly trained team of doctors and physician assistants at convenient locations. 

WellMed doctors have well-established relationships with local specialists and hospitals and work closely to provide the health care you need.

Patients are WellMed’s primary focus:

  • Patients are seen in a timely manner instead of long emergency room waits.

San Antonio Pediatric Associates
 

Offered to patients 0-15 years of age, San Antonio Pediatric Associates provides office care and hospital coverage.
 

Office hours available for:

  • Diagnosis & treatment of general pediatric illness.
  • Physical examinations.
  • Preventive care.
  • Limited in-house labs.
